Women aren’t attracted to men

img2I found this very interesting article about how women see relationship. It’s kinda out of normal point of view and I think it is, in someway, true. I enjoy reading this and I hope you do as well.

From Best of Craigslist: Women aren’t attracted to men.

Women are not actually attracted to men. There is a vague idea of what a man is physically, and some are better than others aesthetically speaking, but the purely physical appearance of a man is almost inconsequential unless he is horribly ugly or outrageously attractive.

Women are attracted to status, money, how much a man smiles and laughs, how many friends and resources a man has, how full a man’s life is–how many "cool," "exciting" and prestigious things he is doing or connected to.

They are interested in how other people view him–how many people want to be around him, how other people interact with him and whether their interactions convey that he is special and amazing. They want him to be extremely outgoing and aggressive, they want him to demonstrate his status over other people by dominating them in various non-violent ways.

A woman’s attraction to a man is a function of her jealousy at the thought of another woman having that man. She doesn’t care who he actually is or EXACTLY what he looks like physically, she only cares about the VALUE of the life he has constructed around himself.

Explaining Subprime Crisis

img89Subprime mortgage was not in my financial vocabulary until last summer, when it shocked global market with unabated effect. Let’s learn more about this crisis.

What is Subprime Mortgage?

Basically it’s a mortgage for people with shaky credit, or specifically, people who is unlikely to be able to pay the mortgage. Usually it’s given to those who are seeking money to finance their houses.

Why banks (lenders) give money to those who can’t pay?

If banks are doing something, they are doing it for money. Dealing with subprime mortgage is a big risk but the interests rate for it is also high. Usually subprime borrowers will have to pay lesser interests rate for the first year and the rate climbs up for the later years. This is the time when borrowers start to have problem paying their monthly payment.

If borrowers can’t pay, won’t the banks loss their money?

How to get @live.com email domain

Get it while it’s still fresh! Microsoft just bring its Live services out from beta. With that, they are also dropping a new domain for email. I just got myself an exquisite email address, irwan[at]live.com.

To get your own email address, click here and then click get a new live id. So if you would like to have a email address with common name like jason[at]live.com, act fast because it won’t be long before somebody take it.

update: apparently, they use regional @live.com.my for Malaysians, but you can always use proxy to bypass the region check.

update: beside using proxy, you can also copy this javascript when you are at login selection page :

Mobile Holy Quran for Iphone

Mobile Holy Quran for Iphone

This is another reason why you should get an Iphone. Mobile Holy Quran is a native apps for Iphone and Ipod Touch. It was released yesterday. I’m surprised how much thought that the author has put into programming this apps. To start it, this neat software is available through Installer. So you just have to tap its name to install it. Interestingly, the author put it in Productivity folder.

Installation process takes no more than 10 seconds. After pressing the menu button, you will see a green icon and be greeted with donation button. Dismiss it and you are ready to use it.

To listen to let say Al-Fatihah, just click the name and it will download the data for the surah. Short surahs are just around 200-600 kb each while Al-Baqarah is about 45 MB. This include the voice and the translation. The program will let you choose which server to download, listing them by the order of speed. After you have downloaded one surah, you don’t have to do it ever again.

What’s more, the software include the translation in Bahasa Malaysia which can be easily selected by pressing ’Translation’ button. What’s more you could ask?
