Mudah.com.my is pushing hard to be recognized as the leader in Malaysian online marketplace. Their ads can be seen everywhere, both in local and foreign sites. If you have Advertlets ads on your site, like I do, I bet there is Mudah’s ads most of the time (if not all the time). Their aggressive advertising strategy reminds me of our local beverage brand name, Ali Cafe. Both has been successfully made their way to the top.
In above graph, it’s clear that Mudah is more popular than Lelong, and steadily growing with enough momentum to overtake Lowyat.net anytime soon. Mudah’s advertising program is doing a great job. I wonder how much they’ve been spending on it.
One thing is missing here. Mudah doesn’t have any advertisement on its site, not even one thing of money making element. At least not yet. I’m still not sure what’s Mudah plan, but I’m sure, with such traffic and brand name, you can easily get what you want. Be it paid listing, or full page of advertising. We shall wait for it.
